Arnulfo Vazquez Rodriguez, a distinguished master artisan, was born on December 13, 1969, in Tonalá, Jalisco. Raised in this historic city, which boasts a profound cultural identity known worldwide for its exceptional handicrafts and folk art, Arnulfo inherited a significant legacy.


His apprenticeship began at the remarkably young age of eight under the tutelage of his father, Salvador Vazquez Carmona, a figure widely regarded as one of the great masters of Mexican artesanía. Now 55 years old, Arnulfo has devoted nearly his entire life to continuing and advancing this esteemed family tradition.

His exceptional talent has been recognized with the highest national honors. In 2003, he received the coveted Premio Nacional de Ciencias y Artes (National Prize for Science and Arts) from Mexican President Vicente Fox. More recently he was awarded the “Galardón Nacional en la Creatividad” in the 2017 Tonalá competition. Beyond these awards, his craftsmanship graces private collections and major luxury establishments, including murals commissioned for the Four Seasons in Punta de Mita, Mexico.


For Heirlome's Collection XII, Arnulfo designed a custom print that was used as a print, knitwear layout and informed the color palette and mood of the collection.
